Upon receiving one of the highest technology awards in 2005 - NASA Technology SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Award, it placed the patented Healthway technology in the same innovation group as the previous winners of the same NASA award, including: The ATM Machine (1973), The Halogen Lamp (1974), The FAX Machine (1975).

After leading the industry in corporate solutions for indoor air quality solutions HealthWay sought out the Southwestern Company to find a way to help make a broader impact on indoor air quality and help more people worldwide. The Southwestern Company is the world leader in direct sales. Southwestern was founded in 1855 and specializes in building character in salespeople. The Southwestern Company’s mission statement is "We build people, and those people build a great company."

In 2009 Healthway-Direct was formed between HealthWay and the Southwestern Company to help provide the same technology that our military uses to clean the air for its troops directly to residents in their homes. HealthWay and Southwestern continue to work closely together to build HealthWay-Direct in order to educate consumers on the importance of clean air in their homes and workplace and at the same time we continue to also seek out talented, hard-working new team members to help us on our mission.
